About us
The main activity of Filmex Packaging Kft. is the production of polyethylene packaging materials for food, industrial, agricultural or household use.
Our aim is to reliably serve different industries with the optimal packaging materials for them.
Our company was founded in 1996 as Szőlősplast Kft. From the beginning, it has been owned by the founding families, who have always made it a priority to develop the company in order to help their customers find the most suitable product for their specific needs.
We believe that without continuous improvement it is impossible to keep pace with the ever changing circumstances - we made our first major technological investment in 2003 to purchase modern machinery to ensure that we can provide our customers with high quality products, made to their individual requirements, with timely delivery. Since 2018, we have continued production in a new 2,000 m2 hall in Pécs, and in 2020 we added an 800 m2 warehouse and office building. In 2019, we added a Hosokawa-Alpine extruder to our machinery, so we now have 7 extruder lines and 8 confectioning machines for the production of our products made from virgin and recycled raw materials.
As a company in the packaging materials industry, we believe it is important to show that it is possible to apply effective solutions for a cleaner, more liveable planet through product development and the use of modern technology.
Almost 50% of our production comes from recycled raw materials, reflecting our commitment to reducing waste and increasing resource efficiency. When optimizing our products, we make it a priority to adapt to individual needs, ensuring that we do not contribute to overconsumption or produce products that the market does not demand.
In addition, we have taken significant steps towards the use of renewable energy sources. As part of our sustainability initiatives, 10% of our consumption already comes from renewables. With E-ON's approval, a total of 125 kW of solar panels have been installed on the roof of the hall. As a result, we estimate that a significant portion of our consumption will be covered by solar energy, allowing us to redirect the remaining amount of reduced expenditure to further improve our service to our customers.
